Free Teen Driver Safety Class + Dash Cam Giveaway – June 28th at 10 AM
At David’s Automotive Repair, we know how much parents worry when their teens get behind the wheel—especially during summer. That’s why we’re stepping up to do something about it.

We’re partnering with Drive Smart Driving School
to host a free Teen Driver Safety Class
on Friday, June 28th at 10:00 AM
right here in The Colony.
The event is part of our effort to raise awareness during the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer. This is the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day when teen driving accidents are at their highest.
The class is free for teens and their families and includes two important parts:
- Classroom safety training led by certified instructors from Drive Smart
- A roadside safety course taught by one of our expert technicians
But wait! There's more! One lucky teen who attends will receive a free dash cam with installation, right here at our shop! Dash cams help promote responsible driving, and we're proud to offer this to help keep our young drivers even safer.
In addition to the class, we’re offering free safety checks on vehicles driven by teens all summer long. These safety checks help catch small problems before they become big ones—and give families peace of mind. Reservations are strongly recommended.
👉 Call us today at (972) 625-1836
to reserve a spot for the class or schedule a free safety check.
Let’s work together to keep our teens—and our roads—safe this summer.

At David’s Automotive Repair, we know even a short stretch of colder weather can still take a toll on your car. Even with just a brief cold season, your vehicle may have developed minor wear and tear that can turn into bigger problems on longer drives. A quick check now can help prevent unexpected breakdowns later and keep you driving safely across North Texas. What Should Be Checked Before a Road Trip? Before any spring road trip, it’s smart to have a few key systems inspected. This includes your tires, brakes, fluids, battery, and cooling system. These parts all play a big role in keeping your vehicle safe and reliable on the road. Even small issues can turn into bigger problems when you’re driving long distances. Common Problems That Show Up in Spring As temperatures rise, certain issues become more noticeable, such as: Low or worn tires Weak battery from winter use Worn brake pads Dirty or low fluids Cracks in belts or hoses Catching these early can help you avoid unexpected trouble during your trip. Why a Pre-Trip Inspection Saves Money Taking care of small problems before a road trip is much cheaper than dealing with a breakdown. Unexpected repairs, towing, and missed plans can quickly add up. A simple inspection helps ensure your vehicle is ready and can save you money and stress. We Can Help If you’re planning a spring road trip, our team can perform a full vehicle inspection to make sure everything is in good shape. We’ll check the key systems and let you know if anything needs attention before you travel. 📞 Call 972-625-1836 today to schedule your pre-trip inspection with an ASE certified technician at David's Automotive Repair. A little preparation now can make your trip safer and more enjoyable!

Most drivers don’t think about their wipers until they need them. Winter weather can dry out and crack the rubber blades. Even if we don’t get much ice, cold mornings and debris on the windshield wear them down. By spring, those worn blades start to streak, skip, or smear water across the glass. That’s a problem when visibility matters most. Bad wipers can leave streaks in heavy rain, reduce visibility at night, make it harder to see brake lights, cause distracting squeaking noises. If your wipers chatter or leave lines on the windshield, it’s time to replace them. The good news? Windshield wiper replacement is quick and affordable. It’s one of the easiest ways to improve driving safety during spring storms. Don’t wait until you’re caught in a downpour to find out your wipers aren’t working. If your blades are streaking or skipping, call David’s Automotive Repair at 972-625-1836 or schedule your appointment online today. We’ll make sure you’re ready for spring rain.
